Nokia N93i: A digicam in disguise.
The device sports a unique design with 180 degree twist and rotating screen that gives a feel of an actual camcorder while you shoot pictures and videos with the Nokia N93i. Its primary screen is one of the best in business – TFT based, 16 million colour deliverable, 240 x 320 pixels and 36 x 48 mm in size. The secondary display is OLED based 65k coloured screen. The handset is a bit on the heavier side, weighing 163 grams. However, one has to consider the amount of functions this mobile phone is loaded with.
Most important feature of any camera centric phone would obviously be its integrated camera module. Nokia N93i, in this regard, makes quite an impression with its massive 3.2 megapixel camera module. Armed with lens crafted by world renowned Carl Zeiss optics, the handset captures each and every detail of the subject in true to life colours. Highest possible resolution for stills is 2048 x 1536 pixels. While in video recording mode, the Nokia N93i captures footage at 30 frames per second – against the industry norm of 15 frames pre second. This results in high definition videos comparable to DVDs.
As mentioned earlier, the Nokia N93i is a 3G handset that operates on Symbian Operating System. Apart from UMTS network for high data speed connectivity required for functions like video calling, the Nokia N93i also supports triband GSM mobile network. The handset is embedded with GPRS and EDGE technology along with other high end data connectivity tools like WiFi, Bluetooth, USB and Infra red to satisfy its basic need – to communicate.
